Terms and Conditions of Service

Livingston Pressure Washing

By scheduling or receiving services from Livingston Pressure Washing (“Company”), the customer (“Client”) agrees to the following Terms and Conditions. These terms are legally binding and apply to all services provided by the Company.

1. Plant, Tree, and Landscaping Disclaimer

Our cleaning solutions—especially those used in roof, house, and surface washing—contain chemicals that, while effective in removing mold, algae, and organic buildup, may be harmful to surrounding plants, trees, grass, and other vegetation if not properly mitigated.

To minimize risk, it is the Client’s sole responsibility to follow all pre- and post-service care instructions provided, which include:

  • Deep watering of all plant beds, trees, shrubs, and turf areas at the soil level for at least 15 to 30 minutes per zone, using a slow, soaking method every other day for 7 days surrounding the service date.

  • Ensuring that any sensitive vegetation is clearly marked or brought to our attention prior to service.

The Company will take reasonable precautions during service—including rinsing and shielding where practical—but we are not liable for any damage to landscaping, plants, trees, grass, or vegetation caused directly or indirectly by chemical overspray, runoff, or lack of proper watering.

Failure to follow the recommended watering instructions significantly increases the risk of damage and waives any liability on the part of Livingston Pressure Washing for resulting harm to vegetation.

2. General Service Liability Waiver
While we strive to perform each service with care and professionalism, Livingston Pressure Washing shall not be held liable for:

  • Pre-existing conditions, deterioration, or damage to siding, roofing, concrete, paint, mortar, caulking, or any exterior surface.
  • Loose or oxidized paint, siding, or shingles that may peel, chip, or flake during or after service.
  • Water intrusion due to aged, cracked, or improperly sealed windows, doors, walls, or venting.
  • Electrical issues caused by exposed outlets, open junction boxes, faulty exterior wiring, or exterior electrical components with failed, missing, or inadequate weather seals.
  • Any outlet, fixture, electrical box, or exterior electrical component that trips, shorts, malfunctions, or becomes damaged due to water exposure where such component was not properly sealed, maintained, or installed to withstand normal exterior conditions and cleaning procedures.

It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure all windows and doors are properly sealed, all outdoor electrical outlets and fixtures are weatherproofed and in good working condition, and any fragile items or outdoor décor are secured or removed prior to service.

3. Stains and Oxidation Disclaimer

Livingston Pressure Washing makes no guarantees regarding the complete removal of certain stains, such as:

  • Rust, efflorescence, artillery fungus, oil, and deeply embedded organic staining.

  • Oxidation on siding, metal, gutters, or trim.

While we will use industry-standard cleaners and techniques, some stains or surface defects may be permanent or only partially improved.

4. Client Responsibilities and Site Readiness
The Client agrees to:

  • Provide clear access to water spigots and electrical outlets as needed.
  • Keep pets and children indoors and away from work areas during service.
  • Notify us in advance of any known issues with water pressure, well systems, electrical outlets, or delicate surfaces.
  • Move vehicles, furniture, decorations, planters, grills, mats, electronics, and any other personal property away from service areas before our arrival.
  • Remove or relocate any item they do not want exposed to water, overspray, runoff, or cleaning solutions.

Livingston Pressure Washing shall not be liable for damage to, discoloration of, or adverse effects on any personal property, furniture, decorations, equipment, or other homeowner items left near the home or within the service area during exterior cleaning. Any items left in or near the work area are assumed to be safe for exposure to water and cleaning solutions unless removed by the Client prior to service.

Failure to prepare the property may result in service delays or rescheduling at the Company’s discretion.

5. Rescheduling and Weather Delays

Exterior cleaning is weather-dependent. We reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to rain, high winds, freezing temperatures, or other unsafe conditions. In such cases, we will contact you promptly to reschedule at the next available time.

6. Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. We accept cash, check, or credit card. Late payments may incur a 5% late fee after 7 days. Returned checks are subject to a $35 NSF fee.

7. Acceptance of Risk

By agreeing to service, the Client acknowledges and accepts that pressure and soft washing involves inherent risks. The Company is not responsible for any damage resulting from:

  • Manufacturer defects or improper installation of surfaces

  • Fragile or weathered materials unable to withstand normal cleaning procedures

  • Surfaces that react unpredictably to cleaning solutions

The Client assumes all responsibility for protecting or removing personal property, fragile items, and non-waterproof items from all areas that may be affected by cleaning activity, overspray, or runoff.

8. Agreement to Terms

By booking a service with Livingston Pressure Washing, the Client agrees to all terms outlined above. These Terms and Conditions are subject to change without notice. The most recent version will be available on our website at https://livingstonpressurewashing.com.
